The 2011 Barrow Street Book Contest Winner
Barrow Street is pleased to announce that Frank Montesonti of Los Angeles, CA is the winner of the 2011 Barrow Street Poetry Book Prize selected by D.A. Powell. His manuscript, entitled Blight, Blight, Blight, Ray of Hope will be published in the Spring next year. Many congratulations to Frank, and our continued thanks to all who submitted manuscripts.
The 2012 Barrow Street Book Contest
Judged by Lynn Emanuel, the Barrow Street Press Book Contest award will be given for the best previously unpublished manuscript of poetry in English. The winner will receive book publication by Barrow Street Press, and $1,000.00. The deadline for the 2012 contest is 30 June 2012. Submit entries here.
Barrow Street West Reading Series
Please join us on 12 February 2012 for the next Barrow Street West Reading Series event, featuring Barrow Street contributors and friends Michael Broek, Mary Flanagan, Lauren Schmidt, and Sarah Wetzel. The event is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Twin Light Taphouse in the Highlands, New Jersey. There will be a full brunch menu available, as well as a wide variety of drink specials.
